A Homeland Security article outlined the perils of human trafficking and the reality of it even within the borders of the United States of America. This article also explained the work that Saved in America and its team is doing to fight back against these evils. Human trafficking is a horrible evil that exists in virtually every country across the globe, even within the most prosperous nation, America. 

KFDI 101.3 in California gives a Star Spangled Salute to worthy organizations to highlight acts of service performed by veterans throughout the state and beyond. It is a way for the station to tell its expansive listeners all about the acts of services performed by veterans after their service to their country has ended. While not exactly the level of the Presidential Medal of Honor, the Star Spangled Salute is still a significant honor, especially for locals. 

Appearing on KUSI News, Saved in America founder Joseph Travers explains the reality of human trafficking in San Diego County, and the need for continued fundraising efforts to keep SIA working against these evils. The group of professional volunteers who make up the specialty team of Saved in America do not charge a dime for their many years of experience, which includes both military and law enforcement special training.

When you think of crime-fighting technology and tools, you likely consider small devices that are powerfully effective or those that can be cleverly hidden. However, when it comes to this high-tech tool, acquired by Saved in America, the size is a bit larger than you might assume and its purpose even more impactful. In fact, this high-tech tool specifically designed to combat human trafficking is a 37-foot long trailer, allowing the team at SIA to create a mobile command center. 

At a meeting for the local chapter of the Carlsbad Rotary Club, Saved in America’s own founder and spokesman Joseph Travers was asked to present a program and explain what Saved in America is all about and their immense value in the community and nationwide. The mission of Saved in America is a simple one, locate your child. Rotary Board Member Malena Bennett was responsible for inviting Travers to speak and her thoughtfulness in this endeavor was much appreciated.  

Kirby Horrell, who is an active member of Saved in America and provides superb military specialty knowledge thanks to his extensive experience as a Navy SEAL, holds the distinction of being the last Navy SEAL from Vietnam to be on active duty. His illustrious military career is admirable, but his work since he retired from the Navy is just as important. His new mission is to work with Saved in America fighting on the home front against human trafficking in the United States

Veterans One episode 9 features special guests, Executive Director Joseph Travers and Special Operations Lead Operators and former Navy SEAL Toshiro or “Tosh” Carrington of Saved in America appeared and spoke about the inspiration for Saved in America and how this group is part of the solution to the rise of human trafficking in America. The former careers of both men were the perfect preparation for fighting evil on the home front once their careers were over. 

A mother’s main goal is to ensure that her child is safe and loved. Imagine, as a mother, learning that the child you loved more than life itself was missing, and you had no idea where they were. Then, imagine that they had been in a bad situation already and were more likely to end up the victim of a human trafficking crime.

Known as the United States Navy, Sea, Air, and Land Teams, the Navy SEALs are a specialized force of military operatives who are a vital part of Naval Special Warfare Command. They are an elite group who are skilled to navigate maritime, arctic, urban, desert, and mountainous environments skillfully.
